I was given this free review copy audiobook at my reuest and have voluntarily left this reviewI enjoyed this book It was enjoyable and the plot was pretty good It was uick and it was well paced I think my biggest issue with the book was actually the title especially as the titular feline wasn’t even a major part of the book At first the title kept me from considering reading this but glad I overcame the prejudice This is entertaining in the same way classic space opera is Imaginative and intriguing world building without descending in stultifying dialogue You can see the formula and enjoy the ride at the same time Comfortable like a blanket covered with cat hair This was a short read to introduce you to a fun world Think of a Rick and Morty Star Wars spoof with some space vets It introduced some fun and diverse characters then loaded the reader with a bunch of villains with various motivations All good stuff I especially liked the idea of death balls Another highlight was the elf gamble and the resultant prize The ending was expected but still rewarding to readA few nitpicky things got to me One the indentation didn't exist for new paragraphs It looked very weird There was one alien with a heavy accent so reading his dialogue was painful I'm also not a fan of non linear stories This one should have been straight forward The only reason to jumble it was to go for the media res format It's a style just not my preferred one Anyway it's a good read for Spaceballs fans Check it out I'm a bit too young to remember the great radio serials but this delightful back story about a pair of brothers an AI with personality than most and a cat alien with a mean side made me nostalgic for Flash Gordon and those other serialized space operas from a bygone eraI loved the characters the clever patter and thedon't take yourself too seriously attitude this first story projects The perfect companion for a vacation drive it's even relatively kid friendly I look forward to adventures for Everett and his motley crew 3 35 starsI was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest reviewyes I'm listened to a book with Flatulent Feline in the title I'm at a lull waiting for 3 4 release dates to hit so I figured I'd sueeze in a short storyThis is the sort of book that should be right up my ally and I may bump the rating whenif I make time for a second listen It was smile along with rather than laugh aloud at humor I think it would've helped perception of the book if it had a better title especially since the cat didn't even play that big a part And that comment is coming from someone who loves Hard Luck HankScrew The Galaxy
